Harry's Story
Harry's Story! I love the outdoors and always have. I want all kids to have the opportunity like I did as a kid to experience hunting and fishing with their parents. Many years ago I created "MO Kids Outdoors" & "Kids Fishing & You" with that in mind. It's based on bringing parents and kids together through outdoor events. Each year, we put on a free kids fishing event at Liberty Park Lagoon in Sedalia, MO. Kids 15 & under with their parents are invited to come out for a day of fishing. It's a great way to have a family fun day together.
My love for the outdoors led to hosting a radio show each week known as "Huntin' & Fishin' with Harry". It airs weekly on KDRO AM 1490/ FM101.3 at 7:05 am on Saturdays. We'll talk about upcoming community events, the fishing report, different hunts, and other outdoor activities.
I've been in many fishing tournaments in my days, with some great friends and great fisherman. I've had my sons in tournaments or just fishing day trips. And now, my grandson, Mason, has been my fishing partner since he was around 5 years old. He's a natural. His talents have grown as his love for fishing has grown. He even has a You-Tube channel featuring some of his fishing adventures, his pet bass that lives in our gold fish pond, and videos of different crappie jigs! The summer of 2022, is when Mason started making crappie jigs. Mason enjoyed hanging out at Sportsman Outfitters in Warsaw, MO. Our friend Scott Gerken and his wife own the store and Scott surprised Mason with the whole set up of making crappie jigs. The previous owner of the Original Slab Hunter started out in Pecan Grove at Truman Lake. Scott bought the molds and equipment from him, added some additional molds to the mix and Mason was off. Every chance he had, he was making jigs. Big Thanks to Scott for putting that opportunity in our path.
Now fast-forward to 2023, which is when Tony Dixon sold Swarm Jigs to us. Thanks to Tony and Penny Dixon for this great opportunity for Mason! He loves making crappie jigs and creating new colors. Owning this business is a pretty big deal. We've build Mason his very own work shop & are selling his line of bates inside of my retail business, Stone Laser Imaging, in downtown Sedalia MO. Mason is now "Fishin' for his Future" and the future looks great!

What can I say...
I LOVE TO FISH !!!
How can I not love to fish, when my grandpa is Huntin' & Fishin' with Harry. I've been fishing since I could walk. I can't remember a time when I wasn't fishing, unless it was when I was riding my bike, scooter, skateboard, dirt bike, or 4 wheeler. Pa would take me fishing all over, mainly in local ponds around our area. But when we got our deck boat, we went fishing all over Truman Lake and Lake Ozarks. We crappie fished, bass fished, and went jugging for catfish. It's all my favorite.
I really liked fishing with my grandpa and buddies so much that we ended up adding a bass boat to our family. So when you have a bass boat, you fish even more, which led to some youth tournaments. Pa would drive and my buddy, Karsen and myself would fish the tournaments. We have won several scholarships and even a power pole for the boat. Most of all, the tournaments are a great time with my pa and friends.
We have a small goldfish pond in our backyard but now it has turned into a little bass pond. I use it to make some You-Tube videos while I try out new lures. Did I mention I have a You-Tube channel? Speaking of jigs, our friend, Scott, who owns Sportsman Outfitters in Warsaw, got me started on some crappie jig molds and the equipment to make them. I got the hang of it and spent a lot of time over the summer learning how to make jigs. I posted a few Facebook live streams while I made them, and that's when our fishing friend, Tony Dixon, from Dixon Outdoors saw the videos. Tony offered some great pointers. I've learned a lot from him. My jig shop started out in 2022 and by January of 2023, we built a new workshop at my Pa's shop... "Stone Laser Imaging". A small part of Stone Laser Imaging sells my bates so come in and check them out.
Now our new story begins. Tony Dixon decided to sell his 12 year business to grandpa and I. We are so excited. Tony helped us set everything in motion and we had some fun training days together. Passing on the Tradition
Wanted to give an update on Swarm Jigs, if you haven’t heard already, Penny and I sold the company to Harry Hoffert, and Mason Morton effective Jan 2023.
While it was bittersweet, this has already proven to be the best for all parties involved.
Orders are coming in, Mason is doing great! They have built a new room dedicated to building these baits, adding new color options, styles and so on.

Tony's Story
Tony created SWARM JIGS with the help of his brother, dad, sons, and friend. His brother and dad had a machine shop which helped to machine a mold that started SWARM JIGS in 2011.
